Members of the CBC Monkstown Community are being asked to donate items for a collection of hampers. These hampers are an opportunity for us to help those in need in one of our sister primary schools here in Dublin – Francis Street, CBS. Francis St. CBS is celebrating 200 years this year. Like us they are another proud ERST (Edmund Rice Schools Trust) school. The school is in a DEIS Band One category and is a proud community in the heart of The Liberties in the city centre. They face many challenges on a daily basis and in our role as a ‘Big Brother’ we can help our ‘Little Brother’. As part of our strong tradition of helping others in the spirit of our founder, Blessed Edmund Rice, we are asking all who can to contribute to our appeal this Christmas. A list of items for the hampers is attached here. Please read carefully as all items are to be new and for boys aged 6 – 8 years old or 9 – 12 years old. All items can be left into CBC (Reception Area) from 9am on Monday 2nd December until 2pm on Wednesday 12th December. Your presents will be gift-wrapped by CBC student volunteers and presented to Francis St. CBS at the CBC Advent Service on Thursday 13th December. Please leave them in the reception area, with a note displaying which age group of boys it is for. This appeal and the gifts you give shall make a difference to a young boy’s Christmas and to his family. Please contact Neil Ferguson in CBC if you have any queries. Thanking you in advance for your generosity, CBC Monkstown CBC Monkstown & CBS Francis Street, Dublin
